ABOUT the breakneck & wilkinson memorial trailhead closures

Attention hikers:

BREAKNECK RIDGE TRAILHEAD and WILKINSON MEMORIAL TRAILHEAD will CLOSE on APRIL 21, 2025

The existing LOWER BROOK TRAIL closure will continue.

These trailheads, off of NY-9D, will be closed until further notice.

Metro-North Railroad’s BREAKNECK RIDGE TRAIN STATION will also be CLOSED.

ALL PARKING on ROUTE 9D will be PROHIBITED in the area north of the tunnel.

Closures are expected to remain in effect for two years.

Work is beginning on the Breakneck Connector and Bridge, a project that will make the Route 9D corridor safer for hikers and motorists.
